About Us
Strategy for
Environmental Development (SED) is founded in Bangladesh in light of
the motto “Save the Environment, Save Your Existence”. Bangladesh is the
country currently affected heavily from the cause of climate change. Also, some
man-made causes damage the environment of the Country. Global warming and
change of weather patterns originated many complications and affected both
directly and indirectly the whole environment with its ecology. The amount of
forest reduced grisly. The seasons are changing and it gets warmer day by day.
Winter season is shrunken and rivers are dried. The sea level is rising and
already some of the area is under water. Saltiness spreads throughout the land
and damaged the trees and animals. Overall, the environmental condition is so
vulnerable in Bangladesh. The number of forests & trees are reducing in
accordance with the increasing of industry, mill, population etc.
It is said that, environment cannot
sustain with development. SED is founded to work out both the environment and
development in a single platform. Without industrial or economic development,
the present world cannot go forward. But, without healthy environment, our
existence will be threatened. To build up the connection between healthy
environment and development is the vision of SED, and in light of this vision,
SED will develop strategic projects and implicated such projects in field level
to contribute the one of the main objective of the organization “Carbon
Neutral Bangladesh”.
Objectives of SED:
1) To make
Bangladesh a carbon neutral country.
2) To cope with
the current world climate change situation.
3) 
Make a coconut barrier in the coastal
area of Bangladesh.
4) Environmental
development project in Metropolitan areas like Dhaka.
5) River
purification process and find out the alternative of present water sources.
6) To research
and publication of reports, journals, books etc. on various environmental
issues.
